Model tests are always fun, and I love to see the new faces find their groove, a certain look, maybe a hint at some kind of market potential that will return on their hopes and aspirations.
And usually (if the scout and agent are honest and talented) most models who are willing to put in a bit of effort, will find a market and get some work. Maybe some travel, hopefully some great stories and a bit set by for when they pursue their life careers.
And sometimes you see a model with so much potential that even though it is just a test, the results are good enough to put in your book.
So, here's Alyssa. Amazing first shoot.

Stomping Grounds - Stylnk Magazine
I shot it! I styled it! I groomed the model! I designed the layout!
Ok, I'm a bit excited about this shoot, and my recent transition to doing more shooting of my own. Check out my Tumblr for more of my photography. (I recently opened my Tumblr account as a place to post my own photography, so if it's on there, I shot it.) But since I also did grooming and styling, I'm adding it here.

Two new editorials out in Chloe Magazine!
Here are two (two, for the price of one) editorials just out in print. It's always exciting and a little christmas-y when work comes out in print. The photographer on these two beautiful stories is Renat Touichev, and I sometimes wonder if he has me on the team simply so he can ask for the ultra-smooth hair treatment... I like to think it's my charming personality, but it could be the hairstyling. Hm.
Whatever the reason, I'm glad he has me come and do my thing, along with Joanna's classic styling, while he crafts perfect shots.

Just skin
Here are a couple of shots from a skin shoot I did a little while back. Ok, skin is a little racy, but basically that was the brief... show lots of great skin, but no "naughty bits". Safe, clean commercial "natural" look for beauty, and then an option with a tiny bit more drama.
Anyway, the shots ended up not getting published, but I think they're pretty nice, so here they are. :)

Viktoriyan Ambrotypes
A little while ago, but not back in Victorian times, Fred shot some beautiful wetplate ambrotypes of a model and friend of ours, Viktoriya. You may have seen the post where I showed one of the masks in process but I just came across these bts of the outfits and the shoot. Just in case you're curious.

| I like to envision the style as closely as possible... love my "judy" who is actually called "Marguerite". |
